9 Really Expensive Smartphones For The Elite: World’s Most Luxurious Mobiles in 2024

The modern smartphone is a far cry from its mobile ancestors. Although these gadgets have become an essential part of modern living, some smartphones are built with that added touch of luxury and class. Intended for high end consumers, these 9 smartphones are not just loaded with the latest mobile tech, they also got that bling bling no other smartphone can match. Here are 9 smartphones built for the rich and the elite.

#9 Mobiado Professional 3 AF – $1,600

mobiado

The Mobiado Professional 3 AF may parade a very minimalist exterior, but that is what makes this smartphone attractive. As they say, less is more and the Professional 3 AF embodies that concept. Sleek aircraft-grade aluminum frame provides the shell of this smart device and is accented by Mobiado’s trademark stainless steel buttons. Finishing the simple yet sophisticated look is the sapphire crystal display.

#8 Blackberry x Porsche Design P9982 – $2,244

bb

Porsche and Blackberry teamed up to give birth to this elegant and lavish device, the P9982. Fusing stainless steel with classic black Italian leather gives this phone a modern edge. However, if you prefer something exotic, a crocodile leather option is also available. The phone is also built with high end Blackberry features such as BBM Video with Screen Share, BlackBerry Priority Hub and BlackBerry Keyboard.

#7 Gresso Radical R3 – $2,300

gresso

With only 999 units made, the Gresso Radical R3 smartphone is not only a high class gadget, but an exceptional one as well. Clearly, the rarity element pushes the value of this phone past the normal ceiling of its contemporaries. But aside it being uncommon, the Radical R3 has the chops to make it a very expensive phone. For one, the phone’s case is made of titanium. And if it’s titanium, it’s premium. But underneath that precious metal and that 4.5-inch 940 x 560 display you will find a 1.2-GHz quad-core processor, 36GB of storage and a pair of SIM card slots. It looks like a phone evil geniuses would want in their pockets.

#6 Tonino Lamborghini Antares – $4,000

tonino

Anything marked “Tonino Lamborghini” is expensive and that is truly the case for the company’s own smartphone line, the Antares. Unlike other classy and highly priced smartphones, the Antares is not built with jewels and precious stones. Rather, everything that makes this phone valuable fall to the realm of design and features. Inspired by the look of the company’s iconic car, the Antares’ frame brags about lines and accents that easily catch everyone’s attention. Underneath the shell, a powerful 1.5-GHz quad-core CPU gives life to the phone. This feature is then coupled by 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a Yamaha audio amplifier.

#5 Gold HTC One – $4,489

gold

When Apple released a faux gold edition of the iPhone 5S, HTC just had to make a response. And responded they did and in a big way. Instead of faux gold panels, HTC employed authentic gold in the Gold HTC One’s casing. To increase the phone’s value, HTC only produced five gold edition models of the HTC One. Other features include Blinkfeed, Zoe and BoomSound., which the regular unit also carries.

#4 Tag Heuer Meridiist 2 – $5,305

Meridiist

Known for making luxurious timepieces, Tag Heuer’s entry to the smartphone game is a big gamble for the renowned watchmaking company. But with the Meridiist 2, Tag Heuer may have come up with a decent smartphone integrated with elements of luxury. The back panel is highlighted with gold, rubber and diamonds. The display, although small, is made of high grade sapphire crystal. To top it all off, a watch panel display is built on the top surface. Along with the purchase of this smartphone is Tag Heuer’s round-the-clock exclusive concierge service, which can be used to its fullest effect if you just know how to use it.

#3 Vertu Constellation – $6,600

vertu

If you are looking for an exquisite phone and spending $6,600 is not a problem at all, then perhaps you should take a look at Vertu’s Constellation series. The phone’s chassis is made of titanium and the back panel is covered in premium calf leather. Adding value to this particular smartphone is the 4.3-inch sapphire crystal 720p display. But that is just merely scratching the surface. Inside, the Vertu Constellation is a monstrous 1.7-GHz dual-core Snapdragon Qualcomm CPU with a whopping 32GB of storage. Upon purchase of the phone, you automatically receive Vertu’s exclusive Life and Certainty services, which is basically your ticket to Vertu’s exclusive happenings and events.

#2 Savelli Jardin Secret – $9,000 up

savelli

Topping the phone’s luxurious aura is a panel of 18k rose gold, which lines the sides and the top of the phone.

#1 Black Diamond iPhone 5 – $15.9 million

iphone

Apple’s iPhone 5 is undoubtedly one of the world’s leading smartphone units and one of the most expensive too as far as suggested retail pricing is concerned. But if you are Stuart Hughes, having a regular iPhone 5 is not enough. His customized iPhone 5 boasts a solid gold frame and is embedded with 600 flawless white diamonds at the sides. But the main jewel of this lavish communications gadget is the home button, which is a huge 26k black diamond.

Hello,

Thanks for this list of maybe very expensive phones, but that, in my honest opinion, no offense intended, are NOT worthy of such a claim/title.

Let me explain why.

Let's take a standard little car worth $15 000. In 2021, few are worth that little. You can add all the bells and whistles you wish to it, like leather seats, a big sound system, bluetooth, wifi, 360 camera view, gold handles, glow in the dark paint, incognito button that makes your car disappear... ooops, I'm exaggerating here... but even "IF" it had all of that... that car STILL only has the power that it was originally created with. I suppose that based on the fact that one of the phones is an iPhone 5, probably the article dates a bit, but still... the only phone that could maybe get a small mention for effort to improve power is the Lamborghini.... and STILL... they seem to have "ONLY" added an audio amp. Maybe, if the article is old enough, 2 Gb of RAM and 1.4 Quad core power is also a little bit in front of its competitors.

All the other ones are just plain phones with bells and whistles added to them.

What about ASUS ROG phones and other similar gaming, powerful phones? Powerful little beasts that will knock your socks off without even taking your shoes off by their EXTREME power. ;-)

Can we have a "V2" of this post, but this time with REAL PHONES that are NOT just ephemeral luxury exhibits? Phones that are REALLY powerful, like 256 Gb of RAM, 1 To of storage space, 512 M camera multicast function to all surrounding phones, so you can share to your friends whatever music/videos you like directly streamed on their screen, automatic detection of rise in temperature within 10 feet of you so you can detect people with fever and avoid them, so to NOT catch Covid-19? Oooops, I'm exaggerating again... ;-) :-P But you know what I mean. Who knows, maybe a phone or car manufacturer will read this slightly exaggerated list of functions and make them real! :-D

Thanks in advance,

Damn phones! I have nothing against people who purchases these expensive gadgets. It is their money should they decide to have these phones. But I do wish people, specifically the rich ones, would consider their priorities and instead channel their money to better causes. Then again, to each his own.

I seriously can't comprehend why someone would seriously consider buying any phone included in this list. I would prefer function over fashion and luxury every single time. Even if I have the money to spare. SMH
