While you will hardly find  issue with ManageEngine OpManager, it can be a little confusing when you let it scan through a range of network addresses and have it automatically setup what it finds. It may pick the wrong monitoring profile for some devices that can be monitored multiple ways. For example, it may setup an Active Directory Domain Controller or an Exchange server as a normal Windows server. When this happens, you have to delete the device it setup from OpManager and manually add it as the type of server that you want monitored. The next upgrade of OpManager should take care of this minor issue.

Cloud-based OpManager?

As excellent as OpManager is, many would wish it to have a cloud-based version. As it is, ManageEngine is on-premise only—though ManageEngine is not without a superb application for cloud-based IT management.
