EasyDMARC also offers an ENTERPRISE plan for bigger teams. For that, interested parties need to contact the vendor directly for a quotation.

Email security, along with comprehensive IT security software deployment, is of the utmost importance to any organization. Most illegal access to a company’s data, files, email lists, and other confidential information arises from employees clicking on emails and file attachments that seem legitimate and from trusted sources but are actually from cyber attackers. Even impersonations of contacts like vendors, known as business email compromise (BEC) can mislead your employees to take risky actions believing they are legitimate requests. Without strong cybersecurity strategies for digital finance, it’s easy to fall prey to these cyber criminals.

A universal protocol for domain email authentication known as DMARC has been widely adopted to mitigate these risks. DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) is an important internet security protocol designed for email authentication to detect and prevent email spoofing. This protocol helps companies protect their domain from phishing, spoofing, ransomware, and other malicious cyberattacks.

In your overall IT security platform strategy, DMARC is an essential and highly-automated protocol that will save you tons of money and time in preventing email spoofing attacks on and from your own domain. In this article, we will examine the specific DMARC software known as EasyDMARC and help you determine the correct EasyDMARC pricing plans for your personal, organization’s, or company’s needs.

Cyber threats come in various forms, and the most successful attacks come from clicking legitimate-looking emails used for phishing. Victims are fooled into opening emails or clicking on malicious attachments thinking that the sender is a trusted entity. Phishing has been increasingly used in many industries, and the most targeted industry sectors for phishing as of Q1 of 2022 were the financial sector at 23.6%, the SaaS industry at 20.5%, e-commerce, and retail industries at 14.6%, social media at 12.5%, the cryptocurrency industry at 6.6%, the payment industry at 5%, and logistics and shipping at 3.8%. One of the most-used protocols to prevent phishing is the DMARC protocol. It works by allowing domain owners to define a policy that dictates how email messages originating from their domain should be authenticated. The email message is rejected if the policy is not met. This makes it extremely difficult for an attacker to send an email message that spoofs the legitimate domain. Domain owners also receive reports from participating email providers about messages that failed authentication to better understand their domain usage, receive notifications about malicious email activities, and protect their domain from cyber threats.

However, DMARC is only one part of a complete IT security solution, and it would be wise to check out more information about these in our article on the best IT security software solutions of 2023.

Overview of EasyDMARC

EasyDMARC dashboard

EasyDMARC is a cloud-based solution that helps organizations manage their Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC) policies and settings. The DMARC protocol is an email authentication protocol that allows individuals, organizations, and companies to control who are allowed to send emails from their domain, what security policies to enforce, and what should automatically happen to emails that fail authentication checks.

EasyDMARC helps organizations set up, monitor, maintain, and report their DMARC settings and events to their company executives. These reports are also sent to participating domains of other companies for comparison and to help prevent phishing enterprise-wide.

The software solution operates automatically in the background in your system and over the cloud, eliminating tedious manual intervention and saving you time and money while keeping your emails and domains secure. One of the best things about this application is that single users are allowed to use all its powerful tools for free, with some limitations, of course. It scales up as your business grows, providing you with flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

What industries benefit most from DMARC solutions?

DMARC solutions like EasyDMARC offer vital email security that significantly benefits specific industries, especially those vulnerable to phishing and spoofing attacks. Here’s a look at which industries stand to gain the most from deploying DMARC protocols and how they benefit:

  • Financial Services: Financial institutions are frequently targeted by cybercriminals due to the sensitive nature of their transactions. DMARC helps banks, investment firms, and insurance companies protect customers from phishing emails impersonating their brands, reducing risks of financial loss and customer data theft.
  • Healthcare: Healthcare organizations often handle sensitive patient data that cybercriminals target through phishing. DMARC ensures that healthcare providers can secure communications, prevent data breaches, and comply with regulations like HIPAA, protecting both the organization and patient privacy.
  • Retail and E-commerce: With an increase in online shopping, retail and e-commerce businesses are more susceptible to attacks that can damage customer trust. DMARC helps these businesses authenticate their emails, reducing the likelihood of customers receiving phishing messages pretending to be from a trusted retailer.
  • Technology and SaaS: Software and technology companies frequently deal with sensitive client information and intellectual property. DMARC allows these companies to secure communications and maintain a trusted brand image by preventing malicious actors from sending spoofed emails on their behalf.
  • Government and Public Sector: Government agencies are at high risk of phishing, as threat actors often attempt to impersonate official communications. DMARC protects these agencies’ email systems from unauthorized use, ensuring only legitimate communications are trusted.
  • Education: Educational institutions handle a large volume of email communication with students, faculty, and administrative staff. DMARC helps to protect these communications and prevent students and staff from being targeted by cybercriminals posing as school officials.

EasyDMARC Pricing Packages

The following list explains the different EasyDMARC pricing plans. EasyDMARC FREE is EasyDMARC’s best package for single users and is ideal for domains with a monthly traffic of 10,000 emails or less, which is plenty for one person. Its standard features are not crippled either as it offers many robust features enough for a single domain and its powerful policy tools and reporting are comprehensive and automated.

EasyDMARC record generator dashboad

Generating your DMARC record is the main function of this tool.

EasyDMARC FREE

EasyDMARC’s FREE package is best for single users and offers features such as up to 10,000 emails a month, one domain coverage, a 14 days data history view, the powerful policy tools SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI, managed DMARC and BIMI services, email Investigation, phishing URL check, aggregate reports (RUA), and basic weekly email reports.

What’s included in FREE?

  • Up to 10,000 emails per month
  • 1 Domain
  • 14 Days Data History
  • 1 User
  • SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI Tools
  • Managed DMARC
  • Managed BIMI
  • Email Investigation
  • Phishing URL Check
  • Aggregate Reports (RUA)
  • Basic Weekly Email Reports

Who is this plan ideal for?

This plan is ideal for single users since it is free for personal use, which often requires much less in terms of functionality. Typically, single users send less than 10,000 emails per month, utilize a single domain, and have no need for long-term data history (14 days is usually sufficient, and one can save them as offline files anyway). But it is no slouch either—its security protocol tools are comprehensive and robust and are the same ones used in its higher-tier plans.

SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI Tools

SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI are all email authentication protocols that help protect against fraud, each one with its own mechanism for verifying the authenticity of emails.

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) prevents fraudulent use of a domain’s email address by specifying which approved IP addresses can send emails from the domain. The recipient server checks the IP address of the sender against this approved IP address list to determine its legitimacy.

EasyDMARC - SPF lookup dashboard

Filling in the parameters for looking up SPF is straightforward.

DKIM (Domain Keys Identified Mail) adds a digital signature ( generated using a cryptographic key pair) to each email sent from a specific domain. It includes key information such as the sender’s domain and the message’s header and content. The recipient server verifies the signature using the sender’s public key to make sure that the message was not modified in any way in transit.

DMARC specifies how email sent from that domain should be authenticated and what to do with any authentication failures, and includes a reporting system that receives feedback about any authentication failures.

BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) displays a logo next to emails sent from the authorized domain to ensure the authenticity of the sender, requiring verification of a cryptographic signature associated with the sender’s domain.

Email Investigate

Email Investigate sets up a unique test inbox address to help analyze SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records, as well as the DMARC policy that applies to test emails. A configuration guide for source authentication setup is then suggested.

Phishing URL Checker

EasyDMARC’s phishing URL checker utilizes a proprietary machine-learning model and AI to parse millions of real-time updated phishing URLs and accurately differentiate between good and malicious links with 90% accuracy.

More information can be found in our article on some of the latest machine learning statistics.

Subdomain Detection

Authentication protocols require your entire domain organization to be secure, including subdomains because the effect of just one exposed or unprotected subdomain can ripple through your entire organization and make you more prone to phishing. EasyDMARC’s stringent policies protect all of your subdomains when configured correctly and eliminate the manual addition of subdomains.

Email Vendor Identification

Brand impersonation is a serious problem, and you, your customers, and your partners may be tricked by some hacker impersonating your vendor. With this layer of security, BEC (business email compromise) scams are prevented effectively.

IP Source Monitoring

This feature helps you monitor your IP sources in aggregate reports and you can each IP to review its standing.
