SaaS Awards has announced its list of 2022 winners. The winners come from various countries across the globe. They are a mix of both new and established names in the SaaS world.
SaaS Awards has more than 50 categories. The most popular ones are security innovation, email marketing software, and productivity software. Cybersecurity company, Perception Point, received the award for Best Security Innovation in a SaaS Product. Based in Tel Aviv, Israel, the company provides prevention-as-a-service and offers fast interception of any content-based attack across all collaboration channels such as email, cloud storage, and messaging platforms.
Meanwhile, customer data company, Validity, received the award for Best SaaS Product for Email Marketing. The company is a veteran in the SaaS industry. It has over 20 years of developing apps for email address verification, inbox deliverability, and CRM data management.
In the Best SaaS for Productivity category, Evernote bested other finalists. Well-known as a note-taking and task management application, Evernote helps users keep schedules and tasks organized in one place.
James Williams, head of operations for the Cloud Awards, said, “Winners of the SaaS Awards offered something which truly stood out in an incredibly competitive year for the program.” Additionally, Williams said that vendors are “continually adapting their approaches to software, facing head-on the evolving challenges of the modern world.”
Considered the “Oscars” of the SaaS industry, the SaaS recognition receives hundreds of entries from around the globe and recognizes excellence and innovation in the SaaS industry. The organization celebrates SaaS solutions across public clouds, as well as alongside private, single-tenant solutions, off-premise or on-premise. Its sister recognition platform, Cloud Awards, on the other hand, promotes cloud solutions across a range of industries.
SaaS’ Role in the Digital Transformation of Businesses
The SaaS Awards helps users and businesses become more familiar with top SaaS apps. Even before COVID-19, SaaS solutions were already a regular part of a company’s tech stack. The pandemic only convinced even more businesses to invest in multiple SaaS apps to carry out their daily operations. From team collaboration to customer service, supply chain management, accounting, and HR tasks, SaaS apps have become an enabler of digital transformation.
The SaaS industry will keep on growing as experts project enterprise spending on SaaS apps to reach $208 billion by 2023. Moreover, new data shows that SaaS has already surpassed legacy platforms as more organizations move their operations to the cloud. Businesses use SaaS apps mainly because of their easy and fast deployment, lower cost of investment, and scalability.
With the continued growth of the SaaS market, competition will get tougher for vendors. However, new opportunities can always be found in niche markets and the development of vertical SaaS. As a result, we can expect future SaaS Awards editions to add more categories/subcategories to better accommodate software developments in the industry.
Cloud Security Awards
After its successful seventh edition, the SaaS Awards has also announced a new awards program: The Cloud Security Awards.
According to the organizers, the new program aims to recognize vendors focused on developing products for cloud security. The program will include categories such as “Best Antivirus,” “Best Email Security,” and “Best Cybersecurity Solution.” The organization will start accepting entries for this new category on September 30, 2022.
