Celebrity News: 5 Killer Lifestyle Expenses

tiger_woodsCelebrity homes are among the much gaped at lifestyle expenses of famous people. They're expensive, we know, but how much really? For mortals like us, it’s unimaginable to even think the amount of cash splurged on celebrity homes and their other lifestyle expenses. But let’s take a look at them anyway, if only to snoop in for a good conversation around the water cooler. Pass the Prozac, please. I’m feeling depressed already.

Home expenses

What’s 23,000-sq. ft with ten fireplaces, a home cinema, and a lake and worth $85 million? Oprah’s cheap California mansion, really, when you put it side by side with Bill Gates’ $147.5 million house, if you can call this estate as such. It has a giant swimming pool with underwater music system, its own library and state-of-the-art gym. Both homes top the most expensive celebrity homes featured in Hello! Also featured are the homes of Will Smith and Hugh Hefner.

Wedding expenses

The standard price for an I-Do seems to be $1.5 million. That is, if you’re among the celebrities with the most expensive weddings ever. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones; Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren; and Eddie Murphy and Nicole Mitchell were penny pinchers when compared to Liza Minnelli and David Gest. Find out why in 12th Blog’s top celebrity wedding expenses.

Divorce expenses

It’s a double whack for Tiger Woods, who had to spend a fortune again to dissolve his expensive marriage. Likewise, the Material Girl is among the celebrities with the most expensive divorces ever involving up to $92 million in assets. Some other names that popped up in this messy deal are Lionel Richie, Michael Jordan, and Paul McCartney. It’s a windfall for divorce lawyers yet again. More in rolling OUT’s list.

Cosmetic expenses

Tons of cash are pumped in to pump up some celebrity body parts. How much? Ask Nicki Minaj, Vivica Fox, Lil Kim, and a slew other actresses, who want to be Angelina Jolie, at least up front.  Lil spent $19,000 for a nose job, skin bleach, liposuction, lip injections, and breast implant. Sigh, we want her with or without the padded costs. Check rollingOUT for the most expensive plastic surgeries.

Kiddie expenses

How about top designer clothes… for a four-month old. She’s Victoria’s little Harper. And while ordinary folks drive with their kids, the

Beckham kids ride the private jet with Dad David. Likewise, what do you expect from the daughter of the Material Girl? Cashmere and dazzling jewelry maybe for everyday wear. Raising kids is really tough these days, eh?

If you had $100 million and you could just buy one thing,
what would it be?
